Announcing the 2015 June Hines Pilates Facebook Trivia Game

Every week starting February 9th and running until the end of 2015, we will be posting a Pilates related trivia question on our Facebook page. The first person to post the correct answer each week will be awarded a Pilates Powerhouse Point. Once you have collected 4 Pilates Powerhouse Points you will be awarded a certificate for a FREE PRIVATE PILATES SESSION with the Instructor of your choice at either one of our two locations. AWESOME RIGHT?  You’ll be working your mind and learning more about the proven method of this timeless, world renowned form of exercise called Pilates.

So please make sure that you are currently our Facebook Friend and follow us weekly to play along. Tell your friends to follow us too!  If they become a follower and email us your name, we’ll include you in a random drawing to win a Free Private Pilates Session at the conclusion of the game at the end of the year. So the more friends you have who like us on Facebook, the more chances you have to win!

Congratulations Debbie Calesnick

Congratulations to Debbie Calesnick who is now officially a Romana's Pilates certified teacher! We are very proud of her and excited that she will be teaching at both of our locations. Debbie will be available for private lessons in Rydal on Thursdays from 10am-8pm and in Doylestown on Fridays from 9am-2pm.

New Classes This Fall

Starting September 22nd, June Hudson will be teaching an intermediate level apparatus class every Monday in the Rydal studio from 5pm-6pm.

Starting September 30th, an intermediate mat class will be held every Tuesday at the Rydal studio from 7pm-8pm.

Starting October 1st, June Hines will be teaching a beginner's apparatus class every Wednesday in the Rydal studio from 6pm-7pm.  

In Doylestown, Barbara Conforti will begin teaching an apparatus class from 9am-10am every Monday starting September 29th.

Also in Doylestown, starting October 2nd, Susan Wilson will be teaching an apparatus class every Thursday from 9am-10am.

Use of MELT products during the class is included in the registration fee and will be available for purchase after the event (ball kit is $45 and roller is $65).

June Hines Pilates Travels Abroad

One great aspect of Pilates is that you can travel the world and either do your own workout in your hotel room, or seek out a studio where you are traveling.  Pilates travels well if you have the knowledge and a clear space to perform the mat exercises with control and strength as Joseph Pilates intended.  Several of our instructors recently traveled abroad and we want to share their Pilates experience with you.

Susan Wilson traveled to France and visited Normandy, Provence, and Paris.  She visited with Philippe Taupin, a Romana’s Pilates Level 2 instructor. Philippe was June Hines’ first Pilates instructor when she was training back in 1996. While living in New York, he was a boarder at Romana’s New York City apartment.  Susan had great lessons with Philippe in his studio.


 

June Hudson recently traveled to Italy for the first time to explore and enjoy the life offered in a beautiful country.  She stayed in a villa in Tuscany for 10 days and met a group of people that were sharing her experience.  She is an ambassador of Pilates and offered her new friends the chance to experience Pilates for the first time. 

Pilates is a wonderful way of moving the body and can be carried with you as you travel.  And, if you can't make it to the studio, Pilates can be practiced at home or work. Learning the form and method of Joseph Pilates work is life changing.

After earning a BA in Art from UCF in 2008, Allison abandoned her native Florida for New York City for the express purpose of gaining a classical Pilates certification through Romana’s Pilates. She apprenticed under the Pilates master Sari Mejia Santo and even had the opportunity to study under Romana Kryzanowska herself. She then went on to acquire certifications from the National Academy of Sports and Medicine, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and the American Heart Association. A fitness instructor since 2004, Allison is delighted to now be a certified MELT Method instructor.
