Clare Ellinwood

Clare Ellinwood was introduced to Pilates on a Gratz Reformer and classical mat work in 2005. She was instantly hooked! The movements and machinery made sense and challenged her like no other exercise, winning her over instantly!

In 2011 after her 2nd birth, Clare experienced chronic pain and core weakness. She found relief with Pilates evenly strengthening, stretching and lengthening her body. Clare has had to overcome many challenges she’s encountered with her body throughout her Pilates journey. Exercises like rolling like a ball & tree went from feeling undoable and uncomfortable to something she craved and felt immense relief from. This process has brought her body awareness, connection, appreciation and understanding. While searching for her true calling, she decided to pursue her Romana’s Pilates Teacher certification. Clare spent years observing, practicing and learning classical Pilates from the world‘s best. She finds great fulfillment through assisting clients in building stronger more efficient bodies, healing from injuries or weakness and connecting their mind and body!

Clare has lived in the area for 25 years. She resides in Glenside with her two teenage sons and her glorious golden retriever. She enjoys cooking, music, nature and exploring and connecting with friends when she’s not cheering on her boys in crew and boxing.

Clare spent her formative years in southern Arizona and New Mexico with her big boisterous family.
