Holiday Party in Doylestown

To begin our New Year, we invite you to our HOLIDAY GATHERING & ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION on Saturday January 7th from 2-5p.m. at the Doylestown studio.  Our Doylestown studio is celebrating its 10 year anniversary as we opened on July 26th, 2006.  We will be starting our celebration with a client showcase of the great method that Joseph Pilates left us and as we were taught by Romana Kryzanowska. 

Another yearly highlight to our holiday event is a performance by John Carelli, wonderful Italian tenor.  Don't miss out.  We will be serving refreshments and there will be some great giveaways for all who attend.  Stop in and bring your family and friends.   We will share how Pilates can inspire and change your life.

Grand Opening in Jenkintown

Please join us for our GRAND OPENING in JENKINTOWN, on Saturday December 10th from 2:00-5:00 p.m.  We will be having client and faculty demonstrations all afternoon as well as refreshments and great giveaways.  Stop in and bring your family and friends.   We will share how Pilates can inspire and change your life.

Anniversary Party

Please join us on Saturday October 15th from 4-7p.m. to celebrate twenty years in Rydal, ten years in Doylestown, and now our first year in Jenkintown! See a demonstration of Pilates and meet other Pilates enthusiasts at the Rydal home studio located at 1132 Dixon Lane, Rydal, PA. We hope you can join us and invite you to bring friends and family members for food, refreshments, and festivities to celebrate our 20/10/1 celebration.  Please let us know if you will be attending so we can count you in. Rydal Studio Moves to Jenkintown

As many of you already know, the Rydal studio will be moving from 1132 Dixon Lane to 495 Old York Rd.,  Jenkintown, PA19046.  As of Monday, June 13th, all classes and sessions previously held at the Rydal studio will now take place at this new location.  Click here to familiarize yourself with the new location and its surroundings.  We look forward to seeing you in our new space and continuing to provide you with the best Pilates instruction available.

We would like to thank Sari Mejia Santo for visiting our studios last weekend.  We all had a great time and learned quite a bit.  There's nothing quite like a lesson with Sari!  Here are some photos of her visit. 

Sari Mejia Santo visits June Hines Pilates

We are excited to welcome Sari Mejia Santo to our studios.  She will be teaching in our Doyletown studio on Saturday March 19th.  

Sari Mejia Santo, Romana Kryzanowska's daughter, was born in Peru. She emigrated to the United States where she began her career as a dancer at the School of American Ballet. Her talent for choreography led her to tour with the Goldovsky Opera Company as a choreographer and a soloist.

At the age of nine, Sari was stricken with rhuematic fever, which caused many physical complications and damage to her legs and feet. Romana, already an accomplished instructor of the work of Joseph Pilates at that time, taught Sari the Pilates method to rebuild her strength and rehabilitate her body. As a young girl, Sari assisted Joseph Pilates in his studio, later becoming an instructor under Joseph's watchful eye.

Currently Sari is the master teacher of the certification seminars at Romana's Pilates® which she owns and operates along with her daughter. Sari continues to work all over the world, including Europe, South America, the U.S. and Australia. She can teach and grade tests in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian and some German!

Cynthia Shipley Visits June Hines Pilates

Cynthia J. Shipley became a student of Pilates in the late 1980's.  She was introduced to Pilates, through a visit by Kathy Grant to the Dance Theatre of Harlem, where Cynthia studied and danced.  Those who were interested were directed to Romana Kryzanowska, who was Joseph Pilates' protégé and highly recommended by Ms. Grant. 

Cynthia first became a practice body for an apprentice of the Pilates certification program and eventually became an apprentice herself.  After almost two years of study, Cynthia was certified in Romana's Pilates and remained under the tutelage of Romana Kryzanowska and Sari Mejia Santo until Romana's departure.  To this day, Cynthia remains under the watchful eye of Sari Mejia Santo. 

Cynthia is a Romana's Pilates Level II Instructor.  Her responsibilities include teaching basic and intermediate seminars, conducting and grading basic and intermediate tests, assisting in monitoring the progress of apprentices, and leading apprentice meetings. Cynthia presents workshops several times a year, both nationally and internationally.

Holiday Party

Reserve Saturday January 2nd for our annual Holiday party featuring John Carelli.

John is returning to our Doylestown studio for the 4th year to share his beautiful voice.  He will be performing from 3-5 on Saturday, Jan. 2nd.  Please plan to come and bring friends and family for refreshments and fun!

Prior to John's performance we are offering a free mat class at 1:30 in our Doylestown studio to get our bodies moving for the New Year!
